On this episode, Davi talks to us about medication abortion, which is the process of ending a pregnancy using pills. You’ll learn about what mifepristone and misoprostol do to your body, what type of side effects to expect, and what complications to look out for. We talk about self managing an abortion, and how it’s removing gatekeepers and bringing abortion back to people’s own hands.

Davi Lopez Green (she/her) is an abortion doula from the USA, currently living in Mexico City. Davi’s background is primarily in community studies with a focus in health care inequalities; analysing how race, class and gender dynamics play an important role in every aspect of society, including healthcare. She has been an abortion doula for 7 years working primarily in self-managed medical abortion. She is interested in exploring the ways in which abortion stigma shows up in our own movements and organistions and how that affects people accessing abortion services.
